The Sermon on the Mount
The Sermon on the Mount (Mt. 5-7) is a simple prophetic exhortation in light of the severity of the Day of the Lord. Far from a “new constitution” of an inaugurated “spiritual kingdom,” the Sermon on the Mount is designed to bring forth repentance and instill the fear of the Lord.
