Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:9-10 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear. Matthew 13:43

Abandon (Psalm 16)

Col. 3:24; Psa. 16; Prov. 23:17-18; Mat. 13:43; Rev. 22:12

Verse 1:

You are God, judge, bridegroom, king   I have no good apart from thee

You are my help, the grace that I need

Verse 2:

By Your Spirit, You are in this place  I hear Your voice, the Great Song’s refrain

You move me in the depths of my being

Even in the dark I have light

If I keep Your Word always in sight

Cutting through the night You’ll shine so bright

I will not be shaken

Chorus :

You will not abandon me to the grave

You are Messiah the One who saves

I lift my eyes up You are coming quickly

You’ll raise me up a righteous one shining in Your Father’s kingdom

The end is near so find me watching and praying

Verse 3:

You show me my path, the narrow way  You laid down Your life, I must do the same

Following You, the way of the cross

Give me ears to hear    Give me ears to hear

Give me ears to hear what the Spirit is saying
