Job loss…financial pressures…sickness…death of loved ones…persecution…whether we are facing the difficulties common to man, or trials that stem from our allegiance to Jesus, as believers we have an anchor that has power sufficient to see us through: The promise of ultimate restoration when our King returns. As the end of the age approaches and followers of Jesus face increased persecution throughout the nations, it is more vital than ever that we “resolve to know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified,” (2 Co 2:2), as we press on toward “the joy set before us” (Heb 12:1-2). When we keep our eyes on the Messiah of Israel, we are reminded that the prize we ultimately will receive really is Worth it All.
