God made a special covenant to bless Abraham so that Abraham could be a blessing to others. The covenant God made with Abraham was based in God’s grace and not anything Abraham had done to earn it. Abraham responded to God’s special call with faith and all people on earth have been blessed because of the faith that he showed.
