Obstacle of Falsehood

2 Peter 2 highlights false teachers as an ongoing obstacle to the way of Truth. False teachers exploit believers into following their example of indulging the flesh rather than crucifying it. False teachers are not going away; they will arise and deceive even to the end of the age. Each believer needs to be equipped to overcome the obstacle of falsehood, and it begins by embracing a love for the Truth in our own hearts and minds. The Spirit of Truth leads us to walk in the Truth, to deny ungodliness, to pick up our Crosses and follow Christ. There is an urgent need in in the Body of Christ for teachers and leaders who have been tried, tested and refined in the fire, who can provide an authentic example to the flock in the way of the cross. In this session Hans will discuss the vital roles that a love for the truth and a cross-centered example play in removing obstacles to the gospel.
