Chapter 5 - Testing in the Desert

It is through difficulties that we truly learn trust in His power and faithfulness, and to not lean on our own strength and understanding. Jesus first carried His cross, and then after that received eternal glory by being raised from the dead. So too we must carry our cross in this age, in the hope of sharing in the resurrected glory that will be given to us, too, when Jesus comes back.
