Why the Urgency Seminar

The “blessed hope,” namely, the return of Jesus (Tit. 2:13), is central to the Biblical gospel. As far back as Enoch, the seventh from Adam, believers have had urgency about the Day of the Lord (Jud. 14-15). In this seminar we will examine several reasons why followers of Jesus today should be doing with even greater earnestness what every generation of believers is already called to do anyway: watch for and be urgent about the Day of the Lord, and arrange our priorities accordingly. As we will see, if the prophets and the apostolic fathers were alive today, they would be joining their own voices to what the Spirit of God Himself seems to be shouting to Jesus’ Bride: “Wake up! Watch and pray! For the Day of the Lord is at hand!”
